| The New North Zone is a project constructed with all the strength of the municipality. It enjoys the municipal-leveleconomic authority. Here the management mode of "small government, big society, small agency and great service" isadopted. The administrative function of the municipal-level government is granted to the New North Zone ManagementCommittee and the authorities of all departments of municipal government are delegated to the Economic DevelopmentPark (Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone which was established in 1993 with the approval of theState Council and is one of the earliest national-level economic and technological development zones established inChina's west region) and High and New Technology Park (Chongqing High and New Technology Industry DevelopmentZone which was established in March 1991 with the approval of the State Council and is one of the five development zonesdesignated by the State Commission of Science and Technology and State Commission of Reform for comprehensivereform trial). A one-stop administrative service center has been established to provide such efficient services as projectapproval, construction and completion and agent service. All applications can be accepted at one office and handled withinthe required limit of time so that all the approval can be secured within the Zone. |
